Personal Lines Team Leader

This multi-lined insurance business continues its pathway to success with the announcement of this new position.  You'll be a proven leader of teams and likely be someone who has honed their operational management and leadership experiences over a reasonable time span.  
 
You’ll be leading and developing a team of underwriters to grow the Personal Lines business in the intermediated market through our chosen technology solution. Your team will review and evaluate digital customer applications for insurance and determine the correct terms of coverage if the application is accepted. As team leader, you will also be responsible for practicing as an underwriter within the team as and when required.
 
Reporting through to the head of broker distribution, you’ll be tasked to-

• Develop your team and identifying methods to improve “effectiveness”.
• Provide guidance to the Business Development Manager on broker SLAs.
• Deliver reports as required on work allocation, turnaround timings, KPIs, and SLAs.
• Ensure all risks are underwritten and accepted within authorised limits.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, problem solving & synergies within the business.

It’s essential you have experience in General Insurance, and a strong understanding of underwriting principles.  The customers will be at the heart of everything you do and it’s important you can demonstrate a customer-centric approach. Your written and verbal communications skills will be exceptional, as will your ability to lead and inspire a team.
