We’re looking for an experienced and relationship-driven
Senior Adviser – Life & Health to provide trusted advice across life, trauma, income protection and group insurance solutions.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building long-term client relationships, generating new business opportunities, and delivering high-quality advice that creates meaningful outcomes for clients.
About the Role As a Senior Adviser – Life & Health, you’ll act as a trusted adviser and subject matter expert, helping clients understand their risks and recommending tailored insurance solutions that meet their needs and comply with New Zealand regulations.
You’ll also play a key role in growing the business through networking, referrals and strategic relationship management, while mentoring support staff and contributing to a collaborative team culture.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and implement strategies to grow your client portfolio
- Build referral partnerships across branch networks and external stakeholders
- Prospect and convert new business opportunities through networking and referrals
- Manage new and renewal business opportunities
- Prepare and present tailored insurance proposals
- Deliver exceptional client service and build long-term relationships
- Analyse client needs and market trends to provide appropriate advice and cover solutions
- Ensure all recommendations comply with legislation and approved advice standards
- Identify opportunities to introduce complementary products and services
- Support and coach administration staff to build capability and knowledge
- Participate in ongoing professional development and industry training
What You’ll Bring - Proven experience in Life & Health financial advice
- Strong knowledge of Life & Health insurance products, including trauma, income protection and group policies
- Understanding of New Zealand regulatory requirements and compliance obligations
- Ability to analyse complex client needs and develop tailored solutions
- Strong business development and networking capability
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Confidence influencing and negotiating with stakeholders
- A proactive, resilient and customer-focused approach
- NZQA Level 5 Certificate in Financial Services
