Are you an experienced Credit Writer, mortgage processor or lending specialist looking for your next career move?

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong residential lending experience who enjoys the technical side of mortgages, working closely with advisers and delivering a high level of service to clients.
As a Credit Writer, you’ll play an important role in supporting Mortgage Advisers throughout the end-to-end home loan application process, ensuring applications are accurate, well presented and progressed efficiently through to settlement.
About the role Working closely with experienced Mortgage Advisers, you’ll manage the technical and administrative aspects of the lending process, allowing advisers to focus on their clients and business development.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and submitting residential lending applications to banks and other lenders
• Working closely with Mortgage Advisers to understand client requirements and lending strategies
• Reviewing client documentation and ensuring applications are complete and accurate
• Liaising with lenders, clients and other stakeholders throughout the application process
• Managing pricing requests for new and existing home loans
• Managing fixed-rate rollovers and refinancing requirements
• Monitoring applications and keeping all parties updated on progress
• Maintaining accurate client information across multiple systems
• Providing high-quality support throughout the lending process

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in residential lending, mortgage processing, credit writing or banking
• Strong knowledge of home lending policies and credit processes
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple applications simultaneously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to interpret adviser instructions and translate them into well-structured lending applications
• Confidence communicating with clients, banks and other stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines
• Experience working across multiple systems and maintaining accurate client records
• Experience with Pipedrive and/or Trail would be advantageous
• NZ Certificate in Financial Services, or a willingness to work towards it
